Hilary Duff will star in a remake of the classic 1967 film Bonnie & Clyde, starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. The new take, titled The Story of Bonnie & Clyde, ‘will focus less on the former’s largely fictionalized shoot-’em-ups and more on the actual lives of the Depression-era bandits.’
Kevin Zegers will play Clyde. Both Faye and Warren reportedly said, ”Why?’ upon hearing the news that Tonya S. Holly will direct The Story of Bonnie & Clyde, based on her own screenplay.
According to The Sun-Times, Faye is upset that her role as Bonnie Parker will be portrayed by Hilary. She said: ‘Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?’ The Story Of Bonnie & Clyde will be released in 2010.
