Newly BFF’s Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato attended the LA Kings vs. Tampa Bay Lightning hockey game on Monday night!

Taylor Swift performed Love Story and Forever and Always last night on Saturday Night Live, did you catch it?!? I think she sounded fabulous!
In a CMT interview, Taylor admits that she’s a huge SNL fan. “When I was younger, when I was about 10 or 11, I was part of a children’s theater group and we would always have this little sketch thing that we’d put together, and it was all basically off of Saturday Night Live. So I used to watch every episode. I cannot believe that I get to be here and actually do this. Pairing up for a Big Apple retail romp, country darling Taylor Swift was spotted out shopping with nightly news host Katie Couric at Jeffrey store in New York City on Friday afternoon (January 9).

Taylor Swift announced on her MySpace blog that she will be the featured musical guest on this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live.
So… I know this isn’t newsworthy,” Taylor writes. “But I have no one else to tell this to. I’m sitting on my bed, and my cat is sitting next to me SNORING so loudly.. And I’m trying not to laugh, because I’ll wake her up. It’s so awesome though. You just don’t expect little cats to snore like that. And periodically, she’ll have weird dreams where she’s running through a field or something (I have no idea what cats actually dream about, this is just a theory)… So then she’s snoring AND twitching and moving her legs.. It’s hilarious. I tried to call [my BFF] Abigail so she could hear it, but she’s off at college is probably studying or doing something cooler than watching a cat snore.
Anyway, that reminds me of something that really IS newsworthy.. Something I’ve been dreaming about and hoping for and wishing for years.. I just found out that I get to play on Saturday Night Live!! January 10th! It’s my mom’s birthday, and I don’t think either of us would’ve believed you if you would’ve told us a few years ago that we’d get to spend her birthday in New York City— at Saturday Night Live! Wow. It’s pretty unreal.
Taylor also chats about her tour planning, saying that things are coming along nicely and she’s very excited about the stage! “Yesterday, my stage designer brought over a model he made of the stage that looked like a puppet show. So, besides the fact that it’s my dream stage scaled down to a small and adorable size… it was also fun to play with. Which even further confirms that it’s my dream stage. I’ve worked up most of the musical arrangements and transitions between songs. I can’t wait for you to see this show. I can’t wait for this summer tour.”
